Terms of service
Last updated: 27 October 2026
These terms govern the use of BetterCallOps, the online service published by MILDEV TECH, by the organisations that open an account and by their members. By creating an account or accepting an invitation, you accept them.
The publisher
MILDEV TECH, a French simplified joint-stock company (SAS) with a share capital of €1,000, Paris Trade and Companies Register 131 439 101, registered office 257 avenue Daumesnil, 75012 Paris, France. Publication director: François Milhem. Contact: contact@bettercallops.com. Host: Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, United States.
The service
BetterCallOps lets an organisation describe its on-call schedules, collect its members’ availability, produce and publish schedules, sync them with an on-call tool and with calendars, and prepare on-call compensation. The service is provided as described on the site and in the application; we make it evolve and may withdraw features after notifying administrators.
BetterCallOps prepares payroll elements; it replaces neither payroll, nor legal advice, nor a collective agreement. The organisation alone is responsible for the amounts it pays.
Accounts and roles
An account is personal. The organisation is created by an administrator, who invites its members and gives them a role: administrator, schedule manager, People Ops or participant. Each person is responsible for the confidentiality of their access and for what they do with their role. The organisation is responsible for the rights it grants and the data it enters.
You must be of legal age and act for an organisation that authorises you to. Test accounts provided by BetterCallOps are for trial only.
Prices and payment
The first five on-call seats are free. Beyond that, each seat costs €10 excluding tax per month, or €96 excluding tax per year if the organisation pays once. A seat is a person who actually carries the on-call; administrators, managers and pay roles who are not on call do not count. Seats are added and removed at any time, pro rata.
Payment is by card through Stripe, in advance for each period. A refused payment suspends the addition of seats after a reminder; the data stays accessible. Prices may change with thirty days’ notice to administrators; the change applies to the next period.
Your data
The data the organisation and its members enter or connect belongs to them. We process it only to provide the service, as the privacy policy describes. The organisation may export its schedules and payroll elements at any time, and ask for its account to be deleted.
The organisation warrants that it has the right to process its members’ data in BetterCallOps, and that its members are informed of this policy.
Acceptable use
It is forbidden to:
- access another organisation’s data or try to get around the isolation between organisations;
- use the service for an unlawful purpose, or enter data you have no right to process;
- overload or disrupt the service, analyse it to copy it, or resell access to it.
Availability and support
We do our best to keep the service available at all times, with no numbered availability commitment at this stage. Planned interruptions are announced when possible. Support is by e-mail at contact@bettercallops.com, on working days.
Intellectual property
BetterCallOps, its code, interface, brand and logo belong to MILDEV TECH. The organisation receives a non-exclusive right of use, for the duration of the subscription, limited to its internal needs.
Liability
BetterCallOps is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, our liability towards an organisation is capped at the amounts it paid us over the last twelve months. We are not liable for indirect losses, for a missed on-call caused by wrong data entered by the organisation, nor for payroll decisions taken from the elements we prepare.
Nothing in these terms limits a liability that cannot be limited by law.
Term and termination
The subscription is monthly or yearly, as the organisation chooses, and renews automatically. The organisation may end it at any time from its settings; the current period remains due. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, after a warning except in an emergency.
On closure, data is deleted within thirty days, as the privacy policy describes.
Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. In case of a dispute, we will first seek an amicable agreement; failing that, the courts of Paris have jurisdiction, subject to the mandatory rules that apply to consumers.
Changes
We may change these terms. Administrators are notified by e-mail at least thirty days before a change that reduces their rights; continuing to use the service after that date counts as acceptance.
